Japanese Restaurant: Industrial Style

The first thing i noticed upon entering the restaurant? this huge chandelier! It's so big that we started thinking about how much this might cost. :p

The chandelier was hanged in the center of the road side part of the restaurant
where the ceiling height is around 4.00 meters high or more.
You know, when you design and select the materials that you're going to use, you always consider its price. The chandelier caught my attention because it's really huge, nonetheless i didn't like it that much. I just thought it was kind of lost with the whole design idea.

I chose to sit near the big curtain wall, the more natural light i see, the more relaxed i get. The red bricks that are covering the whole area and the exposed pipes in some parts of the ceiling gives the feeling of "unfinished" design- which is the closest description of industrial design.

The wood parquets matches just right with the walls. The furniture are more of comfortable rather than beautiful.

View from my place (photo credits to my colleague)

The place was soooo relaxing that i just wanted to sit all day and munch on the sushis they're serving. Their salmon and shrimp with vegetable salad is really good anyway.

This was actually one of the most relaxing day i had since arriving august last year. Can't contain myself noticing the interior :p

Looking forward to having more places to visit so that my not so popular blog can have at least a huge number of entries.

Architectural Stuffs: Models

Without Passion, life would be nothing yes indeed!

A treasure that will never be taken away from a person is his
creativity and  broad imagination

I'm proud to share this little art work from today; a collaboration with a friend. Oh how i've missed my college life! this is exactly what i do way back then. All the sleepless nights are all because of this stuffs; but hey this one's making me proud. And now that i'm all done with college, i can't say that i'm done with architectural stuffs because as long as i'm living, art will be my life. :)

So we started with conceptualization, specifically on the materials that will be used. We've decided to use clay and wires. You can check on how to bend the wires here. It's hard to think on how you're going to shape the whole thing! so thanks to that tutorial on youtube. After making the frame (which is made of wire) we started putting the clays on it and let it dry. I left a some open wires that will later on hold the leaves.

These wires left scars on my hand! >.< It's too late to realize that I should've used gloves to protect my skin from the sharp wires. The outcome is great though, because i enjoyed doing the whole process! It didn't cross my mind that i will miss doing all of this now that i'm working.
This is a first post for this blog, it will also serve as a test post, but after this i promise to post more often! just an obligatory blogging for self satisfaction while working far from my home country.
